This policy explains what information Drive Launcher and this website collect, and why.

When you buy

We collect your name, email, mobile number and address to process your order and send your licence. Card payments are handled by PayHere through our payment service — we never see or store your card details.

If you pay by bank transfer, the payment slip you upload is kept with your order so we can match your payment and for our accounts. Photos are re-saved without their hidden camera data (such as location), and only we can see them.

When you download the app

The app download needs your licence key. For each download (and each try with a wrong key) we record the key, the time, your IP address and the country it points to, and what your browser tells us about itself: browser and version, operating system, device model, language, screen size and time zone, the page you came from, and a random number kept in your browser to tell repeat visits apart. We use this to count downloads per licence and to spot shared or guessed keys. It is kept with your licence record.

When you activate the app

The launcher sends your licence key, a one-way code (hash) derived from your car player — not its serial number — and the app version, so the licence can stay locked to that car player. Your location, music and navigation data stay on your car player and are never sent to us.

About twice a day while it runs, the launcher also tells us it is in use: the same one-way code, whether it is activated, the app version, the car player's make and model, its Android version and screen size, and the layout and car picture in use. This is how we see how many car players run the app and which ones. It contains no name, phone number, location or other personal data.

When something goes wrong

If the launcher crashes, freezes or hits an error, it sends us a short technical report so we can fix it: what went wrong inside the app, the app version, the car player's make and model, its Android version and screen size, the layout and car picture in use, and the same one-way code (hash) used for the licence. It contains no location, music, contacts or other personal data.

Weather

To show the weather, the launcher sends your approximate location directly to the Open-Meteo weather service. We do not receive it.

How long we keep it

Order and licence records are kept for as long as the licence is in use and as required for accounting. Unpaid orders are deleted after 14 days.
